League Structure

Points Competition

Players earn points based on tournament finish positions. The league uses a "best of" scoring system where only your top tournament scores count toward final standings. Points determine Player of the Year rankings.

Entry Fees

Tournament entry fees are collected and paid out in full to finishing players on the night of each tournament. The league retains no portion of entry fees except:

  • One entry fee equivalent for the tournament host
  • A small equipment fund contribution for tables, chips, and supplies

League Fees

Annual league fees are used exclusively to fund the Championship tournament prize pool. League commissioners do not receive compensation.

Commissioner Authority

League commissioners have authority to:

  • Make rulings on game play disputes
  • Interpret and enforce league rules
  • Modify schedules as needed
  • Manage membership roster
  • Address conduct issues

Commissioner decisions regarding game play and rule interpretations are final.

Hosting Tournaments

Tournaments are held at members' homes on a volunteer basis. If you choose to host:

  • You are responsible for providing a suitable space for the tournament
  • You agree to have your address shared with confirmed attendees
  • You are responsible for the care of league equipment while in your possession
  • You receive compensation in the form of a waived entry fee and bonus chips for the Championship
Assumption of Risk & Liability

By participating in league events, you acknowledge and agree:

  • Attendance at league events held in private residences is at your own risk
  • The league, its commissioners, and hosts are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or theft that may occur during events
  • You are responsible for your own transportation to and from events
