Greetings all and welcome to the 2026 Gem State Poker League.
Attached and below is the schedule, rules, etc. Please read through it all.
Most importantly, put the date of Friday, October 2nd on your calendar. This is the date of the Poker League Championship and you do not want to miss this one.
First Tournament is Friday, January 30, 7:00 pm Start.
We currently have 30 players for this year. I have 2 openings remaining. If you have someone that you would like to invite to our league, please contact me ASAP with a Name, email address and phone number. If I get more than 2 responses by end of today, I will run a lottery draw for those being considered.
To those of you that are new to the league this year...Clark, Nick, Shane, Tim, please email me back to confirm you have received this email. This way, I know that we have your email address into my system correctly. Should you have any questions, please email, call or text me.
For opening night, Friday, January 30th, Please bring $160. What does this cover: • $100 League Fee - Funds the Championship Tournament • $30 Mini Game Fee - Funds the mini games we will run during each tournament • $30 Tournament Entry Fee for this tournament
We will be handling a lot of money and you can help by bringing correct change.
Please bring your own chair to the tournament. Hosts are not expected to provide chairs and if they were to have them available, I will note that in the invite for that tournament. We have 30+ players in this league so space is a concern. Please bring a chair that is not unnecessarily large. Padded folding chairs work great.

Poker League Schedule - All Games on Friday Nights starting at 7:00 pm SHARP. Don't be LATE! 10 Regular Season Tournaments, your standings will be based on your best 7 finishes out of the 10 tournaments. We have also added a fun, non-points, tournament too. More details coming on this soon.
You all now have the schedule. I will send out an email in the days before the scheduled tournament that will list the host and address for the tournament. I ask you all to email me back should you NOT be able to attend the tournament. I expect everyone to attend every tournament unless you email me saying you are not going to make it... It's easier to cross off the few that can't make it than to get 25+ responses of those who can.

We will run a mini game during each of our tournaments to add a little more spice and fun to the evening. Total pot: $960 ($30 × 32 players). Roughly $96 available per tournament. Any money not won during the season will be added to the Bad Beat Jackpot for the Championship Tournament.

2026 Season Kickoff - Important Updates

Greetings all,
We are working on getting everything ready for our 2026 Gem State Poker League. I want to make you aware that we have a few new things we are working on. Below is most of it as there are still a few moving parts.
Website: Yes, Michael has been working on putting a website together for our league. It's close to being done and once we have it all finished, we will send you out a link to the site. Our intensions is for the website to contain all of our league schedules, results, next tourney, anything that is informative and fun for us all in the league.
League Fee is increasing to $130. We are adding mini games that will take place during each tournament. Bad beat, Bounties, Certain hands winning, etc. The $30 increase will be used to fund these mini game payouts.
Please help us all out by bringing correct change to the 1st tournament. We will be handling a lot of money and want to make sure we are organized for it. You can help by bringing correct change the first night. You should come with $130 for league fee and $30 for that tournament. Please attempt to bring correct change on both.
Each tournament entry will remain at $30.
FIRST TOURNAMENT IS FRIDAY, JANUARY 30TH.
We have added a fun debauchery tournament for July 10th. This tournament will award no points for the league standings. We wanted to have one fun tournament that everyone could play without thinking they need to grind for every position. More to come on this as it gets developed.
Championship Tournament Date: October 2, 2026. SAVE THIS DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR NOW. You do not want to miss this one as this is our league championship tournament.
Please confirm for me that you are back for the 2026 Gem State Poker League. I have heard from some of you but if you're on the following list, please confirm your back for 2026. Becky, Brian H, Bruce, Eric, Jason, Jeremy, Josh, Justin, Kelly, Mike H, Shawn Everyone else I have heard from.
